DroneDeploy Joins Procore

Procore has acquired our portfolio company DroneDeploy, bringing together two companies that have been changing how construction teams work with data from the field.

We first backed DroneDeploy because we believed capturing what’s happening in the physical world would become an increasingly important part of how businesses operate. Over the years, the company grew from its roots in drone mapping into a much broader robotics and visual intelligence platform, now used across more than 3 million sites in 180 countries.

Procore is one of the largest construction management platforms in the world. DroneDeploy adds the ability to capture what is actually happening on a jobsite through drones, ground robots, 360 cameras, and other devices.

Bringing the two together means that visual data from the jobsite can sit much closer to the place where construction teams already manage projects and make decisions.

For us, it’s also a pretty special milestone to watch a company we’ve backed become part of a platform at this scale.
